What to Expect from Our Cooking Classes in Rome

Every class at Eat and Walk Italy starts the same way: you walk into a real Roman restaurant just off Piazza Navona at Via Giuseppe Zanardelli 14, and a local chef hands you an apron.

From that moment, everything is hands-on. Working at your own station, set up directly in the dining room of the restaurant, mixing the dough, rolling the pasta, layering the tiramisù. The chef is beside you throughout, explaining not just how but why. The recipes are the authentic ones, the kind Italian families still make at home, not the simplified versions made for tourists. When everything is ready, the restaurant’s kitchen takes it from there, and you sit down to eat exactly what you made.

Choose your class, all in the historic center of Rome. Whether you want to learn fresh fettuccine, ravioli and tiramisù, make pizza paired with homemade gelato, or open the evening with a Spritz before rolling pasta, every class includes wine or a non-alcoholic drink, and ends with limoncello or coffee. Prices start from €56 per person.

The group size is carefully calibrated. Sized so the chef knows your name, adjusts the pace to your level, and has time to explain each step properly. The techniques you learn here, how to work the dough, how to fold ravioli so it holds its filling, how to layer a tiramisù that sets correctly, are the ones you take home and use for the rest of your life.

All classes are suitable for complete beginners. No cooking experience needed. Families with kids, couples, solo travelers, groups of friends: everyone is welcome.

Over 200k guests from 60 countries have chosen Eat and Walk Italy. Five consecutive years of awards from TripAdvisor, Viator and GetYourGuide, and over 20,000 five-star reviews. Not because we put on a show, but because people go home with a real skill and a story worth telling.
